Las Vegas is not ordinarily known for its activism. Gambling, yes. Glitz and glamor, yes. Strippers, yes. But what about Peace Activists?

At the First Annual Las Vegas Peace Festival hundreds of Las Vegans gathered to celebrate peace, and set a new standard for Sin City. The Box Office, located in the art district of Las Vegas, hosted the event on Saturday, October 13th. With a combination of live music, interactive mural painting, tree dedicating, body paints, art displays, compassionate speeches, and a lot of dancing, the festival proved to be a success.
