With the election of Illinois Sen. Barack Obama as the 44th president of the United States, Americans have taken a giant leap forward. It has taken this country 219 years to elect its first African-American president (George Washington was elected in 1789). Jeremiah Wright's brutal honesty contributed to his downfall. If Obama wins, then supposedly the path to electoral success will lie in denouncing the brutally honest.
