Thoughts On June 3rd
On June 3rd, the day of Barack Obama's historic, honorably-achieved,
miraculous victory, a day of national and worldwide celebration for
the progress we've all made, Paul Begala wrote an article*. In this
article, Mr. Begala made a comparison to the story of Jackie Robinson
(the first African-American to break the color line in baseball around
50 years ago). Oddly and sadly, the person he was comparing Mr.
Robinson to in this column was not Barack Obama, but Hillary Clinton.
Seriously.
This was yet another perfect example of a die-hard Clinton supporter
just completely missing the point, mangling the moment, being in a
hole and using a shovel when they need a rope. It's hard to overstate

According to CBS News, politicians today no longer dodge questions about marijuana and are increasingly willing to consider the benefits of medical marijuana.
Bill Clinton aroused a storm of controversy when he claimed in 1992 that ‘I experimented with marijuana a time or two and I didn’t like it and didn’t inhale and never tried it again.”
In contrast, Barack Obama has freely admitted, “I inhaled — frequently. That was the point.” Senators Kerry and Edwards both said “yes” when asked in 2003 if they had ever tried marijuana.

The order to put down the metal detectors and stop checking purses and laptop bags came as a surprise to several Dallas police officers who said they believed it was a lapse in security.

"We've got to repudiate, you know, the most strident and insulting anti-American voices out there sometimes on our party's left ... We can't have our party identified by Michael Moore and Hollywood as our cultural values."
--Al From, CEO, Democratic Leadership Council
It all started in September of 1946. Paul Robeson -- actor, singer and all-around Renaissance man -- tried to persuade President Harry Truman (a Democrat) to pursue anti-lynching legislation. Truman claimed the time wasn't right for such legislation because it'd offend members of Congress from the Deep South!
FOX ATTACKS! Obama Staffer
Petition: http://foxattacks.com/obama
The internet is buzzing with Billy boy shoving an Obama staffer this weekend, thanks in large part to our friends at Crooks and Liars. It's been fun watching O'Reilly make a spectacle of himself, traveling to New Hampshire to beg Barack to come on his show.
